Josep Ginebra Molins

I have an engineering degree from UPC and a PhD in statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I am the head of the department of Statistics and Operations Research here at UPC, and I teach courses on Advanced Statistical Modelling an on Bayesian Analysis.

My current research is in statistical foundations, in Bayesian data analysis, in ecological inference and in probability models for discrete and categorical data, with applications in the analysis of election results, in the analysis of literary style and in ecology. In the past I have also done research in design of experiments, with applications in reliability and in binary response models, and in the design of sequential experiments, with applications to the bandit problem and to the statistical control problem.
